EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas has responded to Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar after he announced the suspension of contacts with her.

“Dear Gideon, as you know, the EU and Israel have a lot that binds us. I value our dialogue and engagement, and I’m open to continue in that spirit, respectfully and constructively. Dialogue is the foundation of diplomacy, especially when differences arise. The EU is always committed to a constructive relationship with Israel.

To bring peace to the Middle East, the Two-State Solution remains the only viable

Earlier, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar cut off all contacts with Kaja Kallas after reports emerged that she compared Israel's policies toward Palestinians to apartheid-era South Africa during closed-door meetings in Mexico City last month.

Sa'ar described the alleged comments as a "blood libel" and accused Kallas of acting obsessively and unfairly toward Israel, stating he would not resume engagement until she retracts them.
