Dubai Civil Defence teams brought a fire under control that broke out in a high-rise building along Sheikh Zayed Road in the early hours of June 18, with no injuries confirmed.

Officials said the fire started on a floor that was undergoing maintenance work, Caliber.Az reports, citing Khaleej Times.

They noted that cooling operations were completed in line with standard procedures after the blaze was extinguished.

Witnesses described thick smoke rising from the high-rise tower, visible from surrounding areas.

Emergency services arrived at the scene within minutes, with several police vehicles also deployed to support the response.

As a precaution, access for both traffic and pedestrians around the building was restricted while authorities carried out safety and containment measures.
