TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, June 16. Uzbekistan’s
state energy company Uzbekneftegaz and U.S.-based energy technology
firm Baker Hughes signed a supplementary agreement on drilling and
technical support services during the Tashkent International
Investment Forum.

This was reflected in a statement by Uzbekneftegaz.

The agreement is aimed at improving drilling operations through
the more effective use of advanced drill bits, enhancing the
quality of technical services, and ensuring the stability of
production processes.

The companies noted that negotiations on optimizing the
contract’s terms were successfully concluded in May, paving the way
for the additional agreement.

Under the deal, Baker Hughes will expand its technical support
services for drilling operations and help introduce advanced
technologies and solutions designed to improve drilling efficiency
and shorten well construction timelines.

The agreement reflects ongoing cooperation between Uzbekneftegaz
and Baker Hughes as Uzbekistan seeks to modernize its oil and gas
sector and boost operational efficiency through the adoption of
advanced technologies.
