Azerbaijan gas exports top $3.3 billion in January–May period

Azerbaijan exported 10.38 billion cubic metres of natural gas in January–May 2026, according to customs declarations.

The value of gas exports amounted to $3 billion 343 million 175.5400, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Compared to the first five months of 2025, gas export volumes increased by 1.07%, while revenue declined by 12.8%.

Natural gas accounted for 23.93% of Azerbaijan’s total exports during the reporting period.

In January–May of this year, Azerbaijan conducted foreign trade operations worth $20.788 billion. Of this foreign trade turnover, exports accounted for $13.97 billion, while imports amounted to $6.818 billion. Over the past year, exports increased by 27%, while imports decreased by 31.6%.
