French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot and European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas held talks in Paris, focusing on efforts to end the conflict involving Iran and strengthen coordination within the European Union’s foreign policy framework.
Following the meeting, Kallas said the discussions centered on enhancing the bloc’s ability to act cohesively on international issues and advance common strategic objectives, Caliber.Az reports.
In a post on X, Kallas said she and Barrot were working toward a “stronger and more united Europe” capable of defending shared interests and values.
The talks come as European leaders continue diplomatic efforts to address regional tensions and reinforce cooperation on foreign and security policy matters across the EU.
Kallas also announced that she would later participate in France’s Two-State Solution Conference, an event aimed at supporting Palestinian and Israeli civil society organizations working to promote peace and dialogue.
The conference, hosted by France, brings together stakeholders seeking to advance efforts toward a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the two-state framework.
