Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has announced a new package of measures aimed at supporting families, businesses, and workers, as the government responds to continued instability in international markets.
In a post on X, cited by Caliber.Az, Meloni said the Council of Ministers had approved a series of concrete steps, including a reduction in excise duties and the extension of a tax credit for the road transport sector, with total funding amounting to 300 million euros.
The package also envisages enhanced support for the agricultural sector, alongside an annual increase of 80 million euros for the National Public Transport Fund.
Meloni added that the government had also adopted targeted measures for Niscemi, focused on strengthening the security of the territory and protecting citizens.
“Additionally, we approved important measures for Niscemi aimed at protecting the security of the territory and citizens.
We continue to act seriously and consistently to protect the purchasing power of Italians, support the country’s production system, and provide responses to the regions,” she wrote.
