World leaders and senior international officials continue to convey congratulatory messages to President Ilham Aliyev on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day, underscoring the strength of bilateral relations and reaffirming their commitment to expanding cooperation across a broad range of sectors, Caliber.Az reports, citing state media.
Among those extending congratulations was Willem-Alexander, King of the Netherlands, who conveyed his best wishes to the Azerbaijani people.
“The celebration of your National Day gives me an opportunity to extend to Your Excellency my congratulations and my best wishes for a prosperous future for the people of Azerbaijan,” the Dutch monarch said.
King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa also sent a message marking the occasion, emphasizing the friendship between the two countries.
“As you celebrate the Republic Day of your friendly country, we are pleased to extend to Your Excellency, on our behalf and on behalf of the people and government of the Kingdom of Bahrain, our heartfelt congratulations,” he stated.
The Bahraini king added: “We wish Your Excellency abundant health and happiness, and the people of the Republic of Azerbaijan further progress and prosperity.”
In a separate message, Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea congratulated President Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people on the national holiday.
“On the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan, I extend my congratulations to you and, through you, to the Government and people of your country,” Kim said.
He further noted: “I express my hope that the friendly relations between our two countries will be further strengthened and developed in accordance with our mutual interests.”
Congratulations also came from Salim bin Mohammed AlMalik, head of ICESCO, who praised Azerbaijan’s longstanding partnership with the organization.
“ICESCO has been privileged to count Azerbaijan among its most steadfast partners,” AlMalik said, adding that Azerbaijan’s “constant support and constructive engagement” had “made a genuine difference in how it is perceived across the Islamic world.”
Concluding his message, the ICESCO chief wished Azerbaijan “continued strength, prosperity, and pride in all that this remarkable nation has built and continues to build.”
Meanwhile, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, extended his sincere congratulations to President Aliyev and the Azerbaijani people.
“I am pleased to convey to Your Excellency my sincerest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan,” the UAE president said.
He continued: “I wish you robust health and happiness, and the Government and the friendly people of Azerbaijan prosperity and progress.”
