Latin America and the Caribbean have entered a critical stage of a deep climate crisis, affecting economies and territorial development, Fiona Littlejohn, a representative of the United Nations Economic Commission, has stated at the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan.

Littlejohn said the region is facing rising inequality, rapid urbanisation, and intensifying climate risks, Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

Sha noted that housing vulnerability has become a key factor influencing the resilience of cities and the economic performance of countries across the region.
