The Israeli military said its forces carried out a strike on a Hezbollah command centre in southern Lebanon on May 21, killing five fighters identified at the site.
According to the statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), combat units from the 551st Brigade operating under the 146th Division detected five Hezbollah members entering the facility before the strike was launched, Caliber.Az reports.
The IDF also said that over the past 24 hours it had targeted Hezbollah weapons storage facilities and other infrastructure linked to the group, while additional fighters described as posing a threat to Israeli troops were also killed.
The military stated that its operations are aimed at removing threats to Israeli civilians and soldiers.
