Azerbaijan and Pakistan have reaffirmed their strategic partnership and discussed ways to expand economic cooperation across multiple sectors, according to Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.

In a statement on X, Jabbarov said he met with Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the sidelines of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Calliber.Az reports.

The discussions focused on strengthening economic ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, with particular attention to cooperation with Pakistan’s Punjab province in investment, trade, energy, industry, and transport.

“We also emphasised the role of the Preferential Trade Agreement in deepening business ties between our countries,” Jabbarov wrote.

Both sides underlined the potential for further expanding bilateral cooperation and enhancing economic engagement through structured trade and investment frameworks.
