An agreement has been signed in Baku during the World Urban Forum (WUF13) to promote housing for people with disabilities in Tunisia.


According to Caliber.Az, UN-Habitat and Alwaleed Philanthropies (Global) signed a partnership agreement aimed at advancing inclusive housing for people with disabilities.


The agreement provides for the implementation of a pilot project in Tunisia aimed at improving access to decent housing through inclusive urban planning, accessible housing design, and specialised housing solutions. The initiative also includes capacity development and policy support to strengthen inclusive housing approaches in the region.


The document was signed by Reem Mallawi, Executive Manager of Global Initiatives at Alwaleed Philanthropies, and Rania Hedeya, Regional Director of the UN-Habitat Arab States Office.
