President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev arrived in Kazakhstan on May 15 for a working visit at the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to information published on the official website of the Azerbaijani head of state, and reported by Caliber.Az, the visit is centred on participation in the informal summit of the heads of state of the Organisation of Turkic States.
A guard of honor was lined up at Hazret Sultan International Airport in the city of Turkestan to welcome the Azerbaijani president.
Ilham Aliyev was received by Kazakhstan’s State Counselor Erlan Karin, Akim of the Turkestan Region Nuralkhan Kusherov, and other officials.
