The venues for the WUF13 Festival have been confirmed ahead of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum, which will take place in Baku from May 17–22.


The festival will be held across multiple cities in Azerbaijan with the aim of raising public awareness about the major international event, Caliber.Az reports per local media.


The programme will be divided into two parts. In the mornings, participating cities will host information sessions focused on WUF13. From 18:00, the festival will continue with open-air public events featuring cultural and community activities.


The festival will begin on April 30 at Nizami Park in Guba, followed by events on May 2 at Gala Khiyaban Park in Lankaran, May 4 at Heydar Aliyev Park in Gabala, May 5 at Bakhtiyar Vahabzade Park in Shaki, and May 6 at Heydar Aliyev Square in Mingachevir.


Further stops include May 8 at Heydar Aliyev Square in Ganja, May 10 at Victory Square in Khankendi, and May 12 at Gyoyarchin Park in Sumgayit. The festival will conclude on May 13 in Baku at Clock Tower Square on the Seaside Boulevard.


Evening programmes will feature interactive activities, educational games, presentations and public discussions aimed at promoting themes such as sustainable urban development, inclusive urban environments, innovative city solutions and cities of the future. Organisers will also provide detailed information about the main themes and objectives of WUF13.


Entry to all events will be free of charge, with organisers inviting members of the public to attend.
