Iran is closely monitoring compliance with the ceasefire and maintaining close coordination with its armed forces, according to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, Iranian state media reported.

According to SNN, Baghaei said Iran’s positions and demands had been conveyed to the Pakistani side as part of a proposed 10-point package.

He added that talks in Islamabad began shortly after arrival, with Iran’s parliamentary speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi holding around 2–2.5 hours of discussions with the Pakistani delegation.

“For us, it is important to set out the country’s position clearly and unambiguously,” Baghaei said, describing diplomacy as a continuation of defence and warfare, where military forces operate on the front line while diplomats work on the international stage.

He added that Iran is carefully tracking adherence to the ceasefire and remains in close contact with its armed forces to ensure any violations are recorded and addressed if necessary. According to initial reports, no serious breaches have been recorded since the first hours of the truce.

Baghaei also said the talks cover “all fronts”, including Lebanon, and are being coordinated through Iran’s ambassador in Beirut and relevant structures on the ground.
