Azerbaijan has exported a total of 444.6 million cubic metres of natural gas to Serbia to date, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov said, underscoring deepening energy ties between the two countries.
In a post on X, Shahbazov said the figure was highlighted during a meeting with Serbia’s Minister of Mining and Energy, Dubravka Đedović Handanović, where the two sides reviewed key areas of bilateral energy cooperation, Caliber.Az reports.
The discussions focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Baku and Belgrade, including collaboration on natural gas supplies, electricity generation, the Green Energy Corridor initiative, energy efficiency projects and heat supply systems.
Azerbaijan began supplying gas to Serbia in late 2023 as part of efforts to expand its footprint in European energy markets and support diversification of supply routes for Southeast Europe.
