Russian air defence forces have downed dozens of drones in a wave of overnight attacks across multiple regions, with casualties reported in several areas, according to the defence ministry.
The Ministry of Defence said 85 unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed during the night of April 4 over various parts of the country, including Belgorod Oblast, Bryansk Oblast, Voronezh Oblast, Kursk Oblast, Oryol Oblast, Rostov Oblast, Samara Oblast, Saratov Oblast and Tula Oblast, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea, Caliber.Az reports.
Authorities reported that Taganrog in Rostov Oblast came under both drone and missile strikes. One person was killed, and four others sustained serious injuries, while commercial infrastructure and a foreign-flagged cargo vessel were damaged.
In Tolyatti in Samara Oblast, a worker at an industrial facility was injured during the drone attack. Meanwhile, the governor of Voronezh Oblast, Alexander Gusev, said 18 drones were intercepted over the region.
