A majority of Russians believe President Vladimir Putin is doing a good job, according to a new survey published on April 3.


The poll, conducted by the Public Opinion Foundation between March 27 and 29 among 1,500 respondents, found that 71% of Russians trust Putin, while 74% said he is performing well in his role as head of state, Caliber.Az reports via Russian media.


The survey also indicated more moderate approval ratings for the government. Around 47% of respondents gave a positive assessment of the cabinet’s performance, while 52% said Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin is doing a good job.


Support for political parties remains led by United Russia, which garnered 38% backing in the poll.


The Communist Party followed with 8%, the Liberal Democratic Party with 9%, A Just Russia with 3%, and New People with 6%, according to the findings.
