Sberbank is a major Russian banking and financial services group
with a long history of international operations. Its subsidiary
Sberbank Kazakhstan was one of the significant players in
Kazakhstan’s banking sector after being established there in the
mid-2000s, providing a full range of retail and corporate banking
services and digital solutions. However, in August 2022, Sberbank
sold its Kazakh subsidiary to the state-owned financial holding

following the acquisition.
