BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 2. It is necessary to
develop the infrastructure of the Middle Corridor, OTS
Secretary-General, Kubanychbek Omuraliev said, Trend reports.
He made the remark during the second meeting of heads of
government and vice presidents of the member states of the
Organization of Turkic States (OTG) in Baku.
“It is necessary to develop the infrastructure of the Middle
Corridor, joint logistics centers, and transport companies; to
establish a working group on the construction of modern vessels for
the Caspian Sea; and to use the resources of the Turkic Investment
Fund to finance priority projects,” he said.
Omuraliev noted that transport and connectivity remain promising
areas for developing cooperation within the OTS. The Middle
Corridor is important due to its short and secure route.
“Energy security is a critical global issue. The Turkic world
possesses significant potential in both traditional and renewable
energy,” he added.
According to him, initiatives by OTS member states strengthen
the economy and contribute to Europe’s energy security.
