TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, April 1. Uzbekistan and
South Korea’s Herald Group have agreed to organize a joint
Uzbek-Korean Business Forum, Trend reports via the Ministry of Investment,
Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan.


The agreement was reached during talks between Uzbekistan’s
Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade Ilzat Kasimov
and Herald Group representatives, held as part of a working visit
to Seoul.


The forum is expected to take place within the framework of the
fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum, scheduled for June
16-19, 2026, in Tashkent.







During the visit, Kasimov also held negotiations with leading
South Korean organizations, including KIND, BOMI, and KICOX. The
sides discussed a number of prospective projects in healthcare,
aviation, infrastructure, and urban development, with a particular
focus on expanding public-private partnerships and applying Korean
expertise in the management of Uzbekistan’s industrial zones.


Meanwhile, during the visit, Uzbekistan and the Korea
International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) also started work on a new
partnership memorandum set to run through 2028.
