Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi held a phone call to discuss the escalating situation around Iran and the need for a peaceful resolution.


During the conversation, Lavrov emphasized Russia’s readiness to assist in finding a compromise, underlining the importance of diplomacy and coordination to prevent further conflict.


“Lavrov highlighted Russia’s willingness to facilitate the search for compromise solutions and reaffirmed a firm commitment to maintain close coordination with Omani partners, including at the United Nations, with the aim of rapid de-escalation and preventing the expansion of the armed conflict,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
