Yemen has officially declared war on the United States, aligning itself with Iran, Lebanon and Iraq amid escalating tensions in the region, Russian state media outlet RT reported.
Separately, Saudi-based broadcaster Al Hadath TV reported that a rocket launched from Yemen toward Israel was intercepted before entering Israeli airspace. According to the channel, the projectile was neutralised by air defence systems and did not reach Israeli territory.
Earlier, on March 27, Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthi movement said it was prepared to intervene militarily if other countries joined the United States and Israel in their conflict with Iran, or if the Red Sea were used as a launch point for attacks against the Islamic Republic.
