Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is continuing to carry out strikes against targets in Iran “with full force,” following the killing of a senior Iranian military commander.

In a video address published on the social media platform X and cited by Caliber.Az, Netanyahu referred to the elimination of Alireza Tangsiri, who led the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Netanyahu said Tangsiri had been involved in efforts to block the Strait of Hormuz and described the strike as part of broader coordination between Israel and the United States in pursuing shared military objectives.

“We continue to forcefully strike the targets of the Iranian terrorist regime,” Netanyahu said. “Last night, we eliminated the commander of the naval forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. This man had a great deal of blood on his hands, and he was also the one who led to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.”
