Azerbaijan saw a significant decline in investments in its tourism sector during the first two months of 2026, according to the State Statistics Committee.

From January to February, the country attracted 4.3 million manats (approximately $2.53 million) in the tourism accommodation and food service sectors. This represents a 33.6% decrease compared to the same period last year, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

The tourism sector’s share of total economic investment remains minimal, accounting for just 0.2% of the country’s overall investment portfolio.
