Azerbaijan’s direct investments in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) dropped sharply in 2025, totalling $329.065 million, a decline of 28% compared with the previous year, according to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).


During the period, Azerbaijan’s share of total foreign investments in the UAE fell from 26% in 2024 to 13% in 2025, Caliber.Az reports via local media.


Meanwhile, the UAE invested $404.799 million in Azerbaijan last year, marking a 17.4% decrease from 2024.


The proportion of UAE investments in Azerbaijan’s total foreign investment portfolio also slipped slightly, from 7% to 6.1%.
