The Iranian Armed Forces have stated that the United States launched a so-called bunker-buster missile toward Iranian territory, which was intercepted in the southwest of the country.
The army said the missile was destroyed over the city of Lendeh, per Iranian state media.
The specific type of weapon referred to as a “bunker-buster” was not specified.
