Police in Iran have arrested 54 people suspected of espionage and crimes against the government during a security operation.


According to Tasnim News Agency, the arrests were made by Iran’s Public Security Police  (FARAJA) as part of a crackdown targeting alleged spy activities.


Authorities said that during searches conducted in the operation, security forces seized three firearms, 76 bladed weapons, one hand grenade, and a significant amount of ammunition.


No additional details about the detainees were immediately released.
