The largest areas cleared of landmines in Azerbaijan in 2025 were in Jabrayil (9,110.4 hectares) and Lachin (8,718.6 hectares) districts, the Cabinet of Ministers’ annual report said.


Significant mine clearance was also carried out in Fuzuli (8,526.2 ha), Khojavand (8,203.6 ha), Aghdara (7,893.3 ha), and Aghdam (7,672.1 ha) districts, Caliber.Az reports per local media.


Additional demining operations took place in Khojaly (4,995.7 ha), Zangilan (4,063.4 ha), Gubadli (3,514.8 ha), and Kalbajar (3,008.2 ha).


Smaller-scale operations were conducted in Shusha (856.3 ha), the city of Khankendi (360.8 ha), Tartar district (12.8 ha), and other areas, collectively clearing 2,269.5 hectares.
